Revolutionize education by supporting, recruiting, and retaining Educators of color through the professional development and care for all Educators.
In November of 2018 in Nashville, TN a group of young Black educators, connected at the People of Color Conference. As we sat together we shared stories of feeling burnt-out, responsible for educating our white counter parts on race, being the sole support system for our students of color, isolated in our predominantly white institutions, countless micro-aggression and macro-aggressions.
Realizing the emotional toll and burdens we take on as Black educators we realized we needed a network and safe space of our own for our own. Thus Black Royalty was born.
Black Royalty provides a space where you are not alone and you are no longer a minority. We host; social kickbacks, professional development, support workshops, and mentorship to educators and students of color. We have even more exclusive options in our membership program!
